My husband and I are both tuba players, and I play tuba as well. People really enjoy hearing tuba and organ together, and I think you will be pleased with the response!

We have performed the Rondo from Mozart's 4th horn concerto. Also, of the Six Studies in English Folksong, the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th; and Vivaldi's Sonata No. 3 in A Minor, transcribed by R. Winston Morris. You should consider adapting organ repertoire, especially hymn/chorale based works. (We are exploring in this direction, as well.)

Registration can be tricky- trying to avoid muddy intervals between the instruments. With the help of a third person to check balances in the seating area, we have been mostly successful.

I'd be interested in knowing how it turns out for you and your friend, and what pieces you perform. Good luck with it!

Cheryl
