Orchestra...I like the idea of being a solo instrument in a large group. Plus I prefer the contrast of sound quality of the winds and brass. Sounds weird but when I was in college (oh yes another college story) we had wind ensemble rehearsal followed by orchestra rehearsal on tuesday nights. I always felt like I projected more or had more of a presence in the orchestra than the band. I liked that feeling. And yes I guess I would rather sit around and count rests than play more notes.
