I have seen them come in after 2 years old owned personally and wanting to trade them and I would not give you $300 for them after 2 years. Valve train was loose, plating screwed up in several places. I am sure that now after years of problems that they are better but the VMI is a much better made tuba to the ST Pete and the St Pete has no chance of being in the same ring in quality as the VMI or Schmidt 2103.
and you dont have to baby the 2103 or own it personally or make excuses for it because the metal is thin and the solder joints are not that great.
