List,

I recently spent some time with Sam Gnagey's newest creation, an all satin silver CC tuba with 4 valves, .689 bore and a 19.5" bell. Sam's horns typically combine an older King 2341 BBb body and a large Eb tuba bell, the combination being trimmed to the key of CC.

His horns play very easily and have a GREAT sound. The newest is no exception. I would strongly recommend it for your consideration. Contact Sam at Tubanurse(AT)aol.com.

The reason I didn't purchase it myself is that I chose instead to purchase a less expensive CC AND a YFB-621. Since I rely heavily on my F tuba for a quartet, and since I had been struggling with the low CC on my small rotary F, I decided I needed to place a priority on upgrading the F and settling for my second choice CC tuba.
