There are so many of you brass repair fixit men that read the post. Is there any info on the web or books about how to work brass for instrument/tuba cutting, building, modifying and repair? I would like to learn how to do this as a hobby. I have a strong knowledge of metal working as it is my business. But, I work with steel and stainless steel and the like (machining, forming, cutting, welding). I have never had the opportunity or need to work with brass other than machining something out of a block of it. Is there info out there to get someone going with?
