As mentioned by the other players on the list, the main weakness with the horn is its large sound. It sounds a lot like a CC tuba. Not that that is a bad thing, but many players want a lighter more singing quality out of their F tuba.

But to directly answer your question... The 822 is great if you're looking for a big F tuba.
