I had tried this on a 22J, but just to make sure I tried it again. I have the original tuning bit that came with this horn, and I have been using it most of the time anyway. With or without the bit, the F is about 20-25 cents flat when I play it how I usually would on my other horns. I can lip it up to about 15 cents flat. The the Eb, E, and F are all about the same. The F#/Gb and G are both 25 cents flat at best, even with the slides all the way in. I do find that intonation across the board is better with the original recording bell. When I put an upright bell on this the third partial stays about where it is, but the 5th and 6th partial go out a little (flat & sharp).

Adding a second bit just makes the whole horn 15 cents flat, with all slides all the way in.
