I enjoyed part of my day today playing the Sear Advanced Duets (volume 1) with Ray Grim, who was in town for the Army conference. He and I used to play these when I lived in San Antonio, and they are no less fun to me now. Some of them in the first volume are reachable by most decent high-school players (putting myself in that category despite advancing years), but a few in the first volume and most in the second volume are much more challenging.

Another of my favorites is more challenging than Sear's first volume, and that is Roger Jones's 21 Distinctive Duets. Alas, Ray's copy was borrowed and never returned, and I'm in the hunt for a replacement for him (and for me).
