The one I played at TMEA last Feb was a good tuba, but it is a 3/4 tuba, 4 valve, 16 1/2 bell and it was pricy for the size at this time.
It played well, I put it to a tuner and I did not find anything weird that was way out of line with any one note on intonation. It had a couple notes that played a little tight or slightly stuffy but it was of course a prototype and not a production model.
So we will see. It will probably be there this Feb again.
The BBb had the same characteristics. Both had a big sound for a small tuba and it was heavy for its size.
