This topic has generated a lot of type. I play a BBb and an Eb horn. Now I mostly play the Eb. I like the sound of the Eb better and I am now a piston convert after playing rotary valves for years.
I think it depends on the type of playing you do and what you hope to accomplish with your playing on what kind of horn(s) you play. What ever horn you play, play it well and everything else will fall into place.
