Frank- good question concerning the Schilke 67. I played both reed (sax, clarinet) and tuba for years in various Dixieland bands for many years. I kept switching between the Bach 18 and the Schilke 67...I wish I could give a reason why. The Schilke had great articulation; the Bach, more "range" (?). Now, in my "twilight years", I'm strictly a Bach 18 on my BB, CC, and Eb. So...could someone (Jay, Rick, etc.,) PLEASE give us imput on the never-ending "round rim VS sharp rim" controversy? I do agree you must resist the temptation to try a different mouthpiece every month. But. I'm being a hypocrit, as I admit to having a collection of mouthpieces that would fill a railroad car! Anyway, Schilke VS Bach?
