Why don't you like the kalison? what sound characteristics does it lack? the person who listened to me play the different tubas is a trumpet player. he said that when I played the Hirsburner it was slighlty muffled and it got progresively worse as I played the B&S and the Harvey Philips. He also said that the horn (Kalison)was mouthpeice sensitive. and i was able to play in all dynamic levels on all mouthpeices, each mouthpeice I played on was like a totaly different horn or at least it sounded like it to him. He thinks for now it would be greatest investment I could make yet I'm still skecptable. When I played with the arnold jacobs mouthpiece he said I had a large symphonic sound, with a Marcinkiewicz Rose CH LS I had a smaller group sound, and with a Marcinkiewicz Rose LS I had a quintet sound.
