Yeah, the Army has gotten it's money's worth out of me. (See my reply to Alan Herold) I'm not exactly new at this. What I am new to is, as a doubler, playing an instrument other than euph, being the section's, and the small group's NCOIC hands down choice to represent the section in a small group like BQ.
I'll give the Helleberg a shot, again. I had a Schilke Helleberg, but it seems to have walked at some point in the last couple of months. I liked it a bit better for the high stuff.
As for Gayle, yeah, she is great. She and I planned the 9/11 memorial concert here this last September. She's on midtour leave right now.
