Chuck is right on this one. But the experience from the Finale list, which is cross-platform, is that even very experienced Finale users often forget about the unchecking of the Internal Speaker Playback.
And while we at at the MIDI drivers: some of them are device (Synth/Generator) specific. And some devices basically need a driver for themselves.
And if you use OMS some have had better experiences with 2.3.7, than with 2.3.8..
I hope you will by with the easy option: to uncheck Internal Speaker Playback.
