Hello Everyone,
Wanted to take a moment to let you all know about the summer brass Academy sponsored by the Brass Band of Battle Creek, Camp Avalon.
This summer, the camp will be exclusively for tuba and euphonium from June 29-July 5.
The faculty this year will include Sam Pilafian and Steven Mead as the educational directors, as well as James Gourlay, head of wind, brass and percussion at the Royal Northern College of Music; Phil Sinder, professor of low brass at Michigan State University, as well as myself and some other folks we'll bring in for guest teaching and performances.
The experience was great last summer and we certainly look forward to another productive and fun session.
