Now, about the Marine Music Program... well, it's true you are a Marine first (not a soldier, that's Army talk) and not only is the Basic Training the longest (and some say toughest) you will definately be doing more military type training throughout your enlistment as well. I can honestly say I had a great experience, musically and otherwise, but I know lots of others who didn't. The Marines is not for everyone, if you want more emphasis on music maybe one of the other services would be a better choice.
