I agree with your statement about the Vaughan Williams. It is probably the single most "useful" piece of tuba music on can learn. It is required at auditions of all types and is often asked for on concerto comps as well.

Gregson and Broughton are just fine, but the Vaughan Williams will be better to know if the long run.
