I tried a MW Eb last week at the BBC! It is an absolutely beautiful instrument; sound, pitch, and color- all fantastic! My only hang up with the horn is the size- it is very big for a bass tuba. The horn seems well fitted for orchestra, and quintet playing. For most solo playing I would prefer the likes of my 983.
