You just do it!

Push your air through faster whilst tightening your lips together basically.

Get a copy of Song and Wind. Read.

Focus on your output rather than concentrating on method. Your ears listen and send subconcious information to your brain and (through thousands of repetitions) you learn what sounds good. This is subconcious muscle-memory.

How do you pitch a given note - say a Bb?? You just do - right? You don't concern yourself with how many vibrations/second you need to make the note resonate. Your subconcious brain deals with all the minute muscular/respitory activity involved.

What works theoretically for one person may not be 'The Way' to do it. If it sounds good who cares?!?

Not what you were hoping for I suppose. If you know all that but just wanted to know the mechanics behind 'high notes' then I've mis-understood - sorry. Nothing wrong with arming oneself with a little knowledge. I'd bet though that there's no 'One Rule Fits All' with this one...
