I just got the Mexican Tuba dance Eb solo dumped on me in Brass Band last Friday, with performance in two weeks. There are some range extremes in there, and I can't play them with one embouchure either. It's going to be plenty enough just to be able to play the silly thing at all in two weeks, on my one-year-old-not-much-practiced tuba embouchure. I'm working on it, but my lip muscles are actually sore. Pressure is not a problem for me on tuba, what with my entire mouth inside the mouthpiece; it just pushes on the bones of my face, which does not help any. The high notes are going to be a little louder than the lower ones, because the only thing I have to get there with is air. I find I push the mpc up towards my nose for higher, scoot it back down again for lower. Two embouchures, I guess, is better than several.
