I think it's fantastic that someone who wasn't a big name won that job. It's a breath of fresh air to see that politics played no part in an orchestral audition. I've seen too many "big names" win a job they didn't deserve. I've heard of a few of the guys who made it to the "final four" with the section, and they can really play. Congratulations to Mike Roylance.
