A little clarification:
He did go to UCF for a short duration. He was mainly working at EPCOT playing in FutureCorps (like a miniature drum corps). He did a lot of free lance work in the area and taught for a while at UCF and at Rollins College. If I remember correctly, he received his bachelor's from Rollins College. When Disney started to cut back is when Mike decided to start looking forward. Obviously, he made the right choices.

Yes, Mike is a good guy, and more importantly a very hard worker. This is what allowed him to generate this tremendous success.

I feel lucky to have been in Orlando when he, Chris Olka, Ed Firth, and a whole bunch of other superb tuba players were there. Talk about a great environment to evolve in!

I am glad that he has an opportunity to play in this presigious position!
