The 1291 is technically a 4/4+ size, whatever that means. I own one of the 5 valve models. It has a large bore (.830) but plays like a smaller horn. It is compact and well thought out form the ergonomic sense. I am not aware of any marching rings mor does it have a lyre holder. I would really not wnat ot march with this horn. I like it and tired many horns before I chose this one. As with any horn, there are those who aill and those who won't liek a given model. If you woudl like more details, just email me offline.
