As far as I can tell from the WJ cases that I own, Walt starts with a shell form and a chopper gun and resin, and finally, gel coat.
I wonder if a case built up from layers of woven fiberglas or carbon fiber might not be considerably stronger? Or built canoe-style with laid up cedar strips, fiberglas cloth and resin?
Any canoe-builders out there?
