I own a 187(the BBb version of the 188) and love it. Honestly, when an orchestra professional that plays a York complements your sound, that's something. There's nothing wrong with Miraphones, and it would have been hard to find a better horn at the price I paid. This thing blows the Meinl-Weston 25 out of the water, and has a very easy and open response. I personally don't like the sound of the PT-6, but the only thing that would pry me away from this horn would be an old Holton, York or Conn or a Rudolf Meinl.
