Close-up photos are now available. Please e-mail me and I'll send you the j-pegs. I plan to be at the Army conference so you could "test-drive" it there if you like.

Here's the scoop-

Besson compensating euphonium for sale. Serial number 381829, manufactured in 1968. Good working condition, well maintained. Valves work easily, smoothly and quietly. Slides pull easily. Purchased from original owner 15 years ago. Nice sound, good intonation. Original lacquer finish shows wear. A very few very minor dings. 4th valve may need re-plated eventually but it works fine now. European shank. Comes with Denis Wick mouthpiece, original Besson mouthpiece, and adapter bit to fit standard tenor trombone shank mouthpieces. Original hard case shows wear. Located in Chapel Hill, NC. Selling in order to purchase newer instrument, so a trade may be possible. Photos available at www.triangletubas.com (the Besson is being held/played by the bald-headed guy- me). The writing on the bell says “50 Medals of Honor” “Besson” “star” “London-Paris-New York” “ Made in England”. It is 26.5” long and the bell is 11” across. The price is $1,000. Will consider reasonable offers.
