Those King 3/4 tubas play fine. Some folks don't like "top-action" tubas, because there is no (human) arm on the other side of the tuba to cradle it. Thus, a lot of the balancing of the instrument has to be done with the playing hand, and the left hand has to reach way over to assist. I believe that I recall King trying to bill this as a "4/4" tuba...huh-unh...' definitely "3/4".

There is a very good Taiwanese copy of the King instrument as well...excellent fit and finish. DEG sells it as "Shafer".

Weril small FRONT-action -valve tubas are still below $2000, at least out my front door.
