I currently play one of these as my main horn. I really like the sound. I play a newer style UMI 18 mouthpiece on it. I tried a Conn Helleberg on it but I cannot get past the rim on it. The only complaints I have about it are as follows,
1. If I am in a group of more than about 35 it is too small. The sound just gets buried.
2. The first valve is wickedly out of tune.
These issues may not effect you at all. Good luck....
