One of the Best tuba teachers I have ever had the pleasure of studying with is at little known Boise State University. He is really good at helping you design a curriculum to actually match your goals. The are always opeinings for good players and Grad Assistantships for most of them.
Boise State is a real up-and-coming tuba program worth checking out.
Now ya know.
