Have you ever looked in the Phil Farkas book (the Art of Playing Brass)? There's a page that has photos of the embouchures of the greatest brass section to ever play in an orchestra. I can't remember a "perfect" embouchre out of that group.

Herseth and Jacobs have definite "s" shapes in their embouchures (sideways of course). If you are having problems you may need to make some changes in your embouchure. Don't change because it looks bad. Nobody pays to hear you play because your embouchure looks good. It only has to play good.

Read that book, there are certain characteristics common to good performers but those are very general comments.
