I used to subscribe to the CSO when I lived in Chicago, and whenever I went to a concert at Orchestra Hall, there was always a tuba player on the sidewalk... and the only thing I ever heard him play was an excerpt from "Die Meistersinger," over and over. He actually seemed to have pretty decent chops, but that was the only thing he ever played.
Anyone know what the story was, with that guy?
