Brook Mays probably has a 4-valve sousaphone to rent. They seem to stock hard-to-find instruments - I know because that's where I got mine. I couldn't decide between CC and BBb so I got a serpent. I hope the Marines don't mind the tuning, but what it lacks in intonation, it makes up for in STYLE. Yeah, I can have any woman I want when I'm playing my serpent. If you want to see it in action, I'm playing the Broughton with my middle school band next week.

P.S. I usually wear white gloves when I play, but I thought since I'm playing a big solo I should wear black ones. Does anyone know where I can get black fingerless gloves for playing the serpent?
