I had to add enough slide length to the 5th valve so that the "sharpest"-tuned pitches (basically Bb 5-4) was barely sharp enough to be in tune...basically I only left about 1/2 of pull for the Bb to be in tune.
After making my 5th slide this much longer, I was able to trigger out several inches (do-able, not a "mile") to reach the F on its center.
