There will be no jobs for high schoolers or soon to be graduates at any band camps. Counselor jobs are usually reserved for university alumni and local teachers and teaching jobs are, well, reserved for qualified teachers. If these kids wanted to organize a summer teaching program of their own in a local setting, that might work. They might be better off taking a basic music theory class over the summer at the nearest center of higher learning to prepare themselves and maybe clep out of a remedial theory class that most freshman majors are required to take. Maybe they could work as part timers over the summer at the local music store cleaning and polishing instruments. This will certainly give them an appreciation on how badly most school horns are cared for and eventually encourage them as future teachers to teach respect for TAX PAYER supplied equipment. They may pick up some good repair tips that will serve them well as future teachers also. Maybe they can barter for piano lessons at that same store to gain keyboard skills that will also be required of them as music majors. Maybe they can also barter their services and strong backs with the local choir teacher to introduce them to solfeggio, another skill required of sight singing music majors. So much can be done this summer to help them with skills they don't currently posses. Take advantage of it. A shlocky band camp job, if one can be had, might put a tiny bit of money in their pockets, but does them no good as future music majors.
