For "tight" valves, I recommend two oils..... Once a week: spindles and bottom bearings liberally with Singer Sewing Machine Oil (1/4 the price of Yamaha- and just as good) drawn "in" by pulling the slides with the valve closed. Every day: 1/2 tsp. of Al Cass Fast, blown through the leadpipe. Trumpet players are envious of my valves! Happy hunting!
