I just found out that there is supposedly nothing dangerous about my mouthpiece. The government agency that shut down the plating company was some consumer products agency, and they were concerned about the actual mixture that was being sold by the company. If the actual mixture was ingested, even a small amount would be enough to be deadly. Apparently, all the cyanide is left as a run-off of the electro-plating process. I am still going to contact the chemistry department here at school (University of Florida) to see what I can find out. I just had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday, so I can't play for a few days anyway. That will give me enough time to find out more about this.
