In answer to the "which horn" question...well they were both in front of me. I just grabbed one at random. I'm sorry...I don't remember if it was the light or heavy weight. I just remember it having this dark dark dark tone. It seemed to have almost NO overtones when I played it. I dunno what I was doing wrong. It was just dark as anything. I am in NO way saying it was a bad horn....just wasn't "my bag baby." It was in impecable condition and had a nice raw brass finish. VERY nice! :)

Also, NO I have NOT played a Nirshl horn to TRUELY compare the two. What I meant was that it seemed to look appearance-wise like a York or Nirshl with the lead-pipe facing at an angle(you have to tilt the horn to put the mouthpiece up to your lips). After playing my 2165 today....I almost wished I could get a lead-pipe like that....almost! :)
