As the proud and happy owner of a 1969 vintage Bill Bell model, I can say
that my horn is the greatest I've ever played. But, only the ones with a
detachable bell and narrow up-down tuning slide. I use my horn for everything
from a 70-piece orchestra, to bands, to brass-band, to solo and small
ensemble. I can push and push this horn and it never breaks up, or even
begins to brighten. If you can, look for a old vintage, but I would guess
the new ones are very good as well.

If I can be of any other help, let me know.

Robert
