If your conductor is trying to fit your solo into a "theme" concert and you don't want to do the "Carnival of Venice", there are some other choices. You might look at "Bride of the waves", "Willow echoes", or some other solo of this era. Now, I'm not sure of orch acc availability, this may be a deciding factor.
