When I was attending the local community college near here, the wind ensemble director and concert choir director schedule a tour of 3 or 4 of the local elementary schools for the spring semester. The wind ensemble director chose an arrangement of Trumpeter's Lullaby that had been arranged for tuba. I had the oppurtunity to play the solo for the kids and it was fun watching their eyes light up. The tuba I was playing at the time was a Conn recording bass (4 valve short action 20J equivalent) so the kids got a visual treat along with the music.
