your responses to this gave me an awesome feeling and helped me realize why i am working so hard every day to get better. i remember how my life was touched at an early age and i feel that we can take our instrument to the next level by playing for young children. children are so open minded and impartial. just like the comments made about stereotypes. little children will play with another child of a different race and not think a thing about it. the child only become prejudice when older influences pass on their stupidity. we need to help bring a new approach to tuba music. introduce children to new ideas about the tuba and not let them see those stereotypes.
