These are rather different instruments, if you are using an old "medium bore" King and you "have to have" a piston horn, you might be better off with something like a PT4P or Meinl Weston 2145. These are much more versatile, all-around instruments than either of the big boys you mentioned, neither however is huge when considering "visual size", if thats what you are into, keep the King, have it de-dented and relaquered for a coupe of grand and save the rest of the 10-12K you'd spend on the big B&S tubas.

Oh, f.w.i.w. the rotary valve PT-6 is regarded as a MUCH better horn than it's piston counterpart.
