Art, Art, Art. Those valves would cost three times as much as the horn! If you're spend that kind of moulah, start with something good.

The whole point of starting with a horn like a St. Pete is that you need only three tools: a hacksaw, tin snips, and a propane torch. If you're gonna go all Matt Walters on us and decide to shorten tubes by removing them and turning them on a lathe, then why start with a horn whose outer branches are made of soft cheese?

Oops! I forgot the most important tools of all: the maniacal gleem and the large, black Dr. Frankenstein apron.

But I do like the idea of getting hold of a few of those .840 rotary valves for cheap!
