Maybe Wednesday, perhaps Thursday.

That's when IT arrives.

Amtrak can't tell me exactly how long from Oregon to Virginia. But it left its origin on Saturday.

Without this forum and TubaEuph, I would never have known of its existence, nor would I have known the people who could verify its value making it worth the coast-to-coast trip to try it out. But in response to my questions about BBb horns that make that big, American sound, and seemingly in answer to Mr. Bertolet's advice to look for a particular old instrument, a praiseworthy member of our ranks presented the opportunity.

Yes, folks, I just bought a York Master. Not just any York Master, but one owned by known hot dogs and played upon by the Who's Who of Tubenet. The only requirement (and one not needing to be voiced) was that I let it remain a BBb.

Five minutes and I knew it had the qualities I was seeking, even though I wasn't anywhere near the horn's potential.

Now, I can spend the rest of my life trying to deserve it.
