What does your future teacher like? If he/she is an Alexander fanatic, guess what? Now no honest teacher is going to say, "Play my brand or fail." Your future teacher will however, have a playing style and approach that works for him or her. That being the case, I wonder why they play what they play? Your future teacher will be better than you with a sound and musicality you wish to immulate. Right?
Take the great advice you've received from others on the list and talk with next years teacher. THEN, call some of us merchants and check the classifieds. Figure out what you need and the horn will pick you.
