Big rotary valve BBb. Bears a very striking resemblance to the MW25, another great BBb. I had played one of the Custom BBb's by Yamaha, but was not really impressed. I think it was designed after an Alex. Very heavy and took alot of "oomph" to get to speak from BBb on down. One modification I wish Yamaha would make is to put a bit larger bell on the 641. Mine is 17", would be nice to have to cranked up to 171/2 to 18". BTW, the bore on the thing is .811. I think it is advertised at .804, but i checked mine with a micrometer and it came out at .811. Not too shabby. I have used both a Heavyweight 24AW and a small Helleberg. the small helleberg really punches the sound out. Probably more info than you were looking for, sorry!!!!!!
