The reason I want an adapter, rather than trading in on a new mouthpiece is, one, because I don't have much money at all, and two, because I don't have much transport, so I may still need my small bore mouthpiece to use on the many older bessons that the bands around here seem to have.
As for the quick fix of adding solder to the shank, the instrument actually belongs to my band, not me.
I might contact Dillon's, but on the other hand, I know someone here who could make one for nothing.
