The biggest difficulty with this assignment is that the cutoff price doesn't match with what is out in the marketplace. Most ccmpensating euphs are over $3000 new. The non-compensating line of euphs for most manufacturers drops drastically in price, down to about $1500-2000 new. I say that if you want to spend near $3000 and want to get the best horn for your dollar then buy a used horn.
