Not really.. atleast in my opinion. It's way too bright creating a sound that cuts through rather than blending. If you use it in an orchestra invest in a good deep mouthpiece to mellow out the sound and expect to get the hand a lot until you learn to compensate for the fact that it sounds louder to the conductor than he's used to hearing.
well.. that's my thoughts on it anyhow.. it *can* be done,
