The horn plays great the way it is. The valves are in great shape and the whole instrument shows very little use. Since this is such a rare find, I will not do any mod. or cut. I can pull that LONG 3rd valve slide for low E and B. The low F and 1&3 C play really well with very little adjustment. The false tones jump out. I'm getting back to my BBb fingerings for this horn. After 20 years of thinking CC was the ONLY WAY, it's a gas to realize how many pieces really lay well in BBb. Matt, at Dillon Music, had a great vintage mouthpiece that fits the giant reciever perfect.
